Cool Twitter Headers!
Twitter is a great source to get breaking news, sports scores, and even a great place to get a hold of someone quick through direct messaging. Although, one of my biggest pet peeves with Twitter is seeing a well established, respected person using a flat color or ugly background design as their Twitter Header instead of a cool Twitter header.
There are so many different things one could use to make a great first impression with their Twitter profile. Twitter header quotes are common within the user description, but some are actually turning to the Twitter Headers to squeeze additional content to get their point across. Personally, Twitter header quotes are not my go-to, and I did not make too many designs below that include messages in the design. I also haven’t been able to find a trusted Twitter header maker that I would suggest but will continue to add more designs throughout the year.
When I’m completely bored, or just zoning out, I like to convert desktop wallpapers into cool Twitter headers. It’s a mindless hobby that allows me to play around in Photoshop. I know it’s not hard to search for a Twitter header and pick out something you like, but there are lots of images that don’t work with the new header measurements of Twitter. The proper header size looks best at 1500px by 500px. So the challenge is to find a clever way of cropping an image without destroying it and making wide enough to look good but not stretched.
This article used to be an article dedicated to SEO, Marketing, and Business Twitter headers, but I’ve since decided to expand to all niches and styles. While there are hundreds of Twitter headers available on the web, most are under the old Twitter measurement sizes and don’t look superb.
How to Download
- Right-click on the image
- Save image to your computer (won’t work from your phone, save to a computer)
- Upload to your Twitter account

Although I was looking for a Chicago skyline photo (I live in Chicago), I did not see one here. Unfortunately, there aren’t many pictures of major cities, but despite this, I am going to follow you on Twitter. I found a lot of beautiful Chicago skyline photos, but they are NOT free. I refuse to pay for them. Even if they say “FREE” there is always a catch (get 5 free and give them a credit card number and they nail you with a fee — somehow). Thank you for your beautiful photos.
